On with the adventure!

We are having great fun playing in our ships and learning about great explorers.  This week we have learned about Scott and Shackleton in the Antarctic and about Captain Cook discovering Australia.

In PE we have been playing being crew members and practising our balancing skills.  The scheme of work we are using has suggested some simple homework you might like to try.  When the adverts come on during a programme you are watching, stand on one leg and try and balance like that for the duration of the advert.  When it changes, change legs and get the children to talk about which leg they find easiest.  Is it on the same side of the body as the hand they write with?

This week is Mr Pegrum’s final week with us.  The children have loved working with him and will miss him.  We have really appreciated all of his hard work and are sure you join us in thanking him and wishing him all the best as he continues in his studies.

The children are working hard on their spellings and doing well on their weekly tests.  Thank you for all your support.  The spelling for the rest of the term are below. Harder:
